Thank you for your replies, you were right on!  In this young cat, hyperechoic renal nodular lesions are likely to be granulomatous in origin, and FIP is on the top of the list.  

Renal ymphoma tends to be associated with renomegaly, hypoechoic sub-capsular tumoral infiltration and/or hypoechoic nodules.  Sampling, sampling, sampling!
