There are no lesions at the ICCJ. Mild colic and jejunal LN enlargement. The jejunal segments examined showed normal, but altered layering pattern with a thickened muscularis layer which measures approximately 1:1 when compared to the mucsoal layer. There are single linear, doubled-walled echogenic lesions within several loops of small intestine and mild fluid distension in several segments. In one segment of small intestines, several of these linear objects appeared stacked together causing mild distension of the lumen. The right kidney is normal with good corticomedullary definition, smooth capsular margin and no obvious pyelectasia (however examination in transverse plane would be ideal). The visible portions of the colon are normal.
DDX: Intestinal parasitism with secondary enteritis. Chronic IBD and GI lymphoma considered less likely. The abdominal LNs are most likely reactive. Recommend fecal testing and broad spectrum deworming. Severe GI disease can cause PU/PD and possible GI bleeding to drive up urea. A urine culture and UPC recommended to rule out UTI or possible pyelonephritis and continued monitoring of renal parameters after deworming.

Small intestinal wall is slightly thickened, muscular layer in particular, because it is thicker then submuscular layer.
There is a fragment filled with a little volume of aechoic fluid and also there is echogenic, long, tubular structure - a roundworm probably.
There is increased echogenicity around the lymphnodes.
First differential would be enteritis and parasitic invasion with regional reactive lymphadenopathy
I can't think of any connection with clinical signs though ..

Diffuse thickened intestinal walls, dysmotility. Regional Lymphadenopathy Secondary to underlining G.I. disease. Linear foreign body. Rule out intestinal parasites contributing to the G.I. disease

Ulrik Hagevi

Mild thickening of muskularis layer, mild amount of anechoic content(liquid) and dubbel hyperechoic layer with anechoic content between (coil mask) in intestine lumen. Mild thickening of lnn. I cant see this is the answer to the cats symtoms.

Thanks a lot for this video. The muscular layer seems a little bit to thick compared to the mucosa. There are many worms in the small intestine (hyperecoic double layers). The Lymphnodes seem to be reactive (very hypoechoic, and seem larger than normal, but not rounder).

THERE IS AN INCREASE IN THE MUSCULAR INTESTINAL LAYER, WITH THE PRESENCE OF PARASITIC ELEMENTS (WORMS) IN THE LUMEN.
INCREASE IN SIZE OF MESENTERIC LYMPH NODES

vetozgesahin

Intestinal muscularis layer dilatation (generalize), Seems like inflamatory bowel disease, secondary to chronic intestine inflamatation..
The intestinal content can be a parasite, probably it is.
the lymph nodes, most of mesenterial lymph node inflamed, enlarged.
maybe, acute kidney failure to secondary parasitic infection ;)

Hello! it looks like intestinal worms, roundworms more probably.

Thank you for sharing. i think there is a lineal foreign body into the small bowell. the linfatic nodes i think they are ok.

Worms!!!

Gabriela Ferreira de Campos

Beautiful images!!! Thickening of the intestinal muscular layer, greater evidence of jejunal lymph nodes and presence of slight distension of intestinal loops due to the presence of intraluminal intestinal worms.
