Renal dysplasia can be detected with ultrasound although its features can mimic those of chronic pyelonephritis and other chronic renal diseases. Both kidneys are typically affected, but it can also be an unilateral anomaly. In this video, the sonographic features of renal dysplasia are described in four different dogs.
