Peripheral nerve sheath tumor in a dog

While CT and MRI are most often used to investigate neuropathies in dogs and cats, ultrasound can be used a first step, especially if a mass is palpated or pain localized to an ultrasound-accessible area. Ultrasound is also a useful complementary tool to guide fine-needle aspirations or biopsies once a nerve lesion has been identified with CT or MRI.
