Large bladder masses are not always tumors. This case is an extreme example of mass filling up most of the lumen of the bladder in a dog with chronic hematuria and episodes of urinary tract infection.
Polypoid cystitis often is associated with cranioventral bladder wall thickening and polyp-like projections in the lumen. Also, on rare occasions, large masses can be benign tumors such as leiomyomas.
